At JADA, we are committed to supporting the public and private sectors in addressing unique community needs. With our expansive reach across Barbados, we strive to ensure a deep and meaningful connection to our communities. Our aim is to align our philanthropic interests with people who are committed to driving change and building a better nation.

We take a holistic approach to our community projects and programmes and have formed lasting partnerships with national charities, community centres and institutional bodies. Over the last few years, we have provided donor support to a wide cross-section of charities and community groups in Barbados. Our support has allowed these charities to expand their reach into our communities and provide a meaningful impact to our fellow citizens.

Our Community Work at a Glance

Row for Charity - Row for Charity is a 6-leg kayak relay race which was started 15 years ago by the Variety Club of Barbados as one of its key fundraising events. All proceeds go towards the Variety Club’s Sunshine Coach Programme which provides free transportation to and from school for children with mental and physical challenges. As Row for Charity celebrates its 15th Anniversary, the JADA Group is proud to sponsor the event and have a participating team in the event on June 25, 2017.

The Nightingale Complex – The Nightengale Complex is a purpose-built facility for children with disabilities. In 2012, JADA Builders partnered with the Barbados Children’s Trust, to facilitate the rebuild of the $3 million foster care centre at no cost to the Barbados government. Through steadfast commitment to provide a new home for the children housed by the Nightengale Complex, the JADA team was able to complete the project in less than a year.

JADA One Idea – The One Idea campaign was launched in 2013 and offered funding of up to $50,000 to one imaginative, progressive community improvement project in Barbados which was voted by the public to be the best at the time. The campaign focused on six key areas including health, environment, arts & culture, sports, community and education. The programme was widely received by community and civic leaders who lauded JADA for recognizing the importance of positive community engagement.
